Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Francis). They blew past the Eastside Lions 81-31 on Thursday. Given the Golden Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 84th, while the Lions are ranked 592nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Eastside's loss came despite strong showings from Wydell James and Tykeam McQueen. James posted nine points, while McQueen had nine points.

St. Francis is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.9 points per game. As for Eastside, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-5.

St. Francis didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 79-77 defeat against Agoura on the 27th. As for Eastside, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 61-43 loss against King's Academy on the 27th.
