Baseball Recap: Seneca's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Seneca ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They came out on top against the Daniel Lions by a score of 7-4. The victory was nothing new for the Bobcats as they're now sitting on three straight.

Seneca let Cooper Henderson and Joey McGovern run wild. Henderson scored a run while going 2-for-4, while McGovern went 2-for-5 with one home run and three RBI. Henderson also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Coltyn Hawk, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI.

Seneca's record is now 13-2. As for Daniel, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-4.

Seneca and Daniel should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings. Seneca (ranked 28th) will meet Blue Ridge (ranked 104th) at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Daniel will square off against Berea at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday up 200 places (15 vs. 215).
