Softball Recap: Salome Has No Trouble Against Mountainside

Salome's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They blew past the Mountainside Wolves 20-5. Considering the Frogs have won five matchups by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Salome has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.8 runs over those games. As for Mountainside, they dropped their record down to 0-9 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Salome will welcome Ash Fork/Seligman at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Spartans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.83 runs per game on average), something the Frogs will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Mountainside, they will be playing at home against Wickenburg at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
