The Pleasant Hope Pirates were the 48-30 winner over the School of the Ozarks Patriots when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Pleasant Hope received a tough blow on Thursday as they fell 43-26 to School of the Ozarks. While losing is never fun, Pleasant Hope can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 287th, while School of the Ozarks is ranked 82nd).
School of the Ozarks got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lily Todd out in front who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. The matchup was Todd's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kinley Sharp, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 17 rebounds.
Pleasant Hope now has a losing record at 3-4. As for School of the Ozarks, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
Pleasant Hope will be playing at home against Wheatland at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for School of the Ozarks, they will head out on the road to face off against Bradleyville at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
