Baxter had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They were given a punishing 28-89 loss at the hands of Coon Rapids-Bayard. This was the first contest for both squads, starting Baxter off on the wrong foot at 0-1, while giving Coon Rapids-Bayard a 1-0 record.
Next week, Baxter take on Don Bosco at 7:00 PM. As for Coon Rapids-Bayard, they will face of against Newell-Fonda. Keep an eye on the score for this one : both teams put up some lofty point totals in their previous games, so things might heat up even more when they meet up next week.
