It was a good run, but the Colonial Grenadiers unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of Palm Bay by a score of 51-48. Colonial was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Palm Bay apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.
When it comes to explaining why Colonial lost, one person who can't be blamed is Carmen Richardson. Despite the final result, she scored 15 points along with 6 assists. Another player making a difference was Raeanne Eccleston, who scored 11 points.
Colonial's defeat dropped their record down to 3-1. As for Palm Bay, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Colonial will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Our Lady of Good Counsel at 6:00 p.m. on December 7th. Palm Bay is on the road again on Friday and play against Miami at 12:45 p.m. on December 1st.
