2A Mountain View recap October 8, 2013
Oakland added to the longest winning streak in 2A Mountain View this week by beating Riddle/Riddle Education Center, 54-6. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Oakers.
Monroe made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 9,023 from 10,305. The advance stemmed from a 34-0 victory over Oakridge last week.
Oakland's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Oakers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Ian Patt has thrown for 560 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, while Jeb Harper has 19 catches for 364 yards.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Oakland takes on North Douglas. Ben Lane's team is in first place, while the Warriors are in fourth place.
