The Collegiate Dutchmen will venture away from home to square off against the Trinity Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Collegiate has three straight victories, Trinity has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Friday, Collegiate got the win against Dalton by a conclusive 11-1. Considering the Dutchmen have won three contests by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Ale' Propper-Bowring spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits. Collegiate is undefeated when Propper-Bowring allows one or fewer earned runs, but 2-3 otherwise.
At the plate, Jack Deblasi was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Alex Gershell also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Collegiate kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Trinity started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Riverdale Country. They came up short against the Falcons on Monday, falling 12-6.
Freddie Crowhurst was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Tyler Delarosa was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.
Trinity's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Collegiate, their record now sits at 5-3.
Wednesday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Collegiate has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .498. However, it's not like Trinity struggles in that department as they've averaged .455. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Collegiate suffered a grim 15-8 defeat to Trinity in their previous matchup on April 9th. Can the Dutchmen avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
