Ian Abramson posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Wednesday. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 14 over five innings pitched.

Abramson's effort led Calhoun over Loyola and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Cougars are 8-2 against the Lady Knights going back to April of 2019, a lead they'll look to extend.
