Basketball Game Preview: American Heritage Academy Patriots vs. Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas Falcons

The American Heritage Academy Patriots will head out to face off against the Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. American Heritage Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.8 points per game this season.

Having struggled with eight defeats in a row dating back to last season, American Heritage Academy turned things around against Trinity International on Wednesday. They took down the Thunder 54-35.

American Heritage Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jacob Rodrigues led the charge by going 9 of 16 en route to 22 points along with six assists and six boards. The matchup was Rodrigues' eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Wirig, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 boards.

American Heritage Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 64-54 to Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon.

American Heritage Academy's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

American Heritage Academy was taken down by Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas 80-34 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point American Heritage Academy was down 53-21.
