Despite their defeat, Calhoun Academy saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Connor Hayes, who scored 16 points, was perhaps the best of all. Chase Strickland was another key contributor, scoring six points along with ten rebounds and three steals.
St. John's Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Calhoun Academy, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-11 record this season.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: St. John's Christian Academy have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 23.3 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Calhoun Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 30.8 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
