Math & Science College Preparatory was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Mendez Jaguars.
Mendez's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nathalie Bustillo led the charge by getting five kills, four digs, and two blocks. That's the most blocks Bustillo has posted since back in October of 2024.
Math & Science College Preparatory now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Mendez, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-4.
