Clearwater's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Indian Rocks Christian Eagles an 11-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Tornadoes, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.

Kabella Corning made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Juleah Patterson, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jadah Nicholls, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Clearwater always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .613. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Clearwater's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Indian Rocks Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clearwater will venture away from home to take on Largo at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Packers will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Tornadoes surely won't give up without a fight. As for Indian Rocks Christian, they will head out on the road to challenge Northside Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Mustangs have now posted at least ten runs in their last four contests.
