The Payson Lions waltzed into their game  on Friday with ten straight wins  but they left with 11. They claimed a resounding  61-33 win over Uintah at home. Payson has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven  games by 24  points or more this season.
 Payson's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Oaklie Jackman, who  scored 14 points along with six  rebounds and two  blocks. Another player making a difference was  Quincey Mathews, who  scored 12 points along with five  assists and four  steals.
 Loss or not, Uintah got some senior leadership from  Charlee Gilroy and  Mackenzie White.  Gilroy  scored 15 points along with three  steals and two  blocks, while  White.  scored 16 points. That was a full 48.5% of Uintah's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's  earned more than a third of the team's points.
 Payson is  on a roll lately: they've  won 12 of their last 14 matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record  this season. As for Uintah, they dropped their record down to 6-16 with that  defeat, which was their third straight  on the road.
 Payson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Uintah, they will head out on the road to  face off against  Tooele at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked  in Utah (Uintah is ranked 100th, while Tooele is ranked 108th).
