The Leflore County Tigers's game on Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They had just enough and edged Leland out 30-27. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Leflore County also won the last time the pair played back in November.
Leading Leflore County to victory were Olivia Hilton and Jordan Dixon. Hilton scored 11 points along with five rebounds and five steals, while Dixon scored five points along with five rebounds and five steals. Those five rebounds set a new season-high mark for Dixon. Another player making a difference was Monica Coleman, who scored seven points.
Leflore County pushed their record up to 4-7 with that win, which was their third straight at home. As for Leland, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Amanda Elzy the next time they take the court. Leland will head out to face Amanda Elzy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Leflore County will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
