The Gordonsville Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a hard 60-41 fall against Jackson County. While losing is never fun, Gordonsville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 333rd, while Jackson County is ranked 108th).
Erin Davidson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Jackson County, scoring 21 points along with 9 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Davidson has scored at least 25% of Jackson County's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Claire Williams, who scored 11 points.
The last time Gordonsville won on the road was back last Tuesday. Having now lost three straight away contests, they've bumped their record down to 0-3. As for Jackson County, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gordonsville's road trip will continue as they head out to face Van Buren County at 6:00 p.m. on December 11th. As for Jackson County, they will face off against Red Boiling Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
