Baseball Recap: Grace Christian School Wins Going Away Against Life Christian Academy

Grace Christian School barely beat Life Christian Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Grace Christian School blew past Life Christian Academy 11-4 on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Kings, who have now won three matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Ben Best and Andrew Whittington did most of the damage at the plate: Best scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-5, while Whittington scored two runs while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. Best has become a key player for Grace Christian School: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 1-2 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Isiah Ignace, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

The win made it two in a row for Grace Christian School and bumps their season record up to 4-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Life Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grace Christian School will face off against Grove Christian School at 4:00 p.m. on April 7. Grace Christian School is facing Grove Christian School at the right time seeing as Grove Christian School is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Life Christian Academy, they will challenge Paul VI at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
