Pepperell is 0-4 against Darlington since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. Even though Pepperell has not done well against Dade County recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way. Pepperell sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 50-47 win over Dade County.
Pepperell relied on the efforts of Chris Fife, who scored 14 points along with 4 steals, and Eliot Goggans, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendyl Brewster, who scored 6 points along with 5 steals.
Meanwhile, even though River Ridge scored an imposing 61 points on Saturday, Darlington still came out on top. Darlington took their match against River Ridge 70-61. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Darlington.
Haralson County's victory bumped their season record to 0-0 while Pepperell's loss dropped theirs to 1-1.
Pepperell was dealt a bruising 63-25 defeat at the hands of Darlington in their previous meeting back in January. Can Pepperell avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
