The Morse Shipbuilders scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They came out on top against Leavitt by a score of 73-61. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Morse had a senior duo take command as Calin Gould scored 20 points along with five rebounds and Trace McFarland scored 25 points along with five rebounds. That's the first time this season that McFarland scored 15 or more points. Jack Delano was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Morse's victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-5. As for Leavitt, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Winslow the next time they take the court. Leavitt will host Winslow at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Morse will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
