Cimarron is  a perfect 5-0 against Ness City since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  allowing only two  hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 3-for-4 with one  stolen base and one  RBI.

 In other batting news, Cimarron got a  massive  performance out of  Yesenia Garfio, who  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while going 2-for-2. Those  three  runs gave  Garfio a new career-high.  Brenna Hayes was another key player,  scoring three  runs and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.
 Cimarron  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .643. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
 Meanwhile, Ness City was not able to break out of their rough patch  two weeks ago as the team picked up their fifth straight  loss  dating back to last season. They were a single  run away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   13-12 heartbreaker at the hands of Spearville.
 The  victory  got Cimarron back to even at 5-5. As for Ness City, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
 Everything went Cimarron's way against Ness City when the teams last played  back in April of 2024, as Cimarron made off with  a  16-1 win. Will the Bluejays repeat their success,  or do  the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
