It was another big night for Janiyah Hackley, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds for Orange County. Hackley is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last four games she's played. Natalie Mattox was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five assists and four steals.
Goochland dropped their record down to 1-17 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 4.7 points per game. As for Orange County, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Goochland will take on the Flying Flucos at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Orange County, they will head out on the road to square off against the Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Louisa County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 315th, while the Fighting Hornets are ranked 133rd).
