Makenna Landkrohn produced another solid effort dropping a double-double with 14 points and ten blocks. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 14 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Nora Prim, who posted seven points and five steals.
Meanwhile, HomeSchool Resource Center hadn't done well against Westlake Christian Academy recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Patriots came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 26-14.
Calumet Christian better focus on containing Beth Feddes and Poppy Mahalick as the pair were huge in HomeSchool Resource Center's win. Feddes dropped a double-double with ten rebounds and 15 steals, while Mahalick dropped a double-double with ten points and 14 boards. Moira McCarthly also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.
Calumet Christian's record now sits at 3-1. As for HomeSchool Resource Center, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Calumet Christian has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 23 rebounds per game. However, it's not like HomeSchool Resource Center struggles in that department as they've been averaging 39.5 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
