It's about time: Central finally caught a break after 3 consecutive losses. They took their matchup against Truman on Friday by a conclusive 41-13 score. Central have a history of success against Truman, winning their last head-to-head 41-13.
Central got off to a slow start in their previous match, but they had no such trouble against Truman and cruised to a 27-point first half. Truman came up with 7 to make it 27-7 heading into the break. The Central defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the game. The win bumped their record up to 1-3. Truman are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-4.
Central will be staying on the road next week, facing off against Liberty North. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, Central and Liberty North will really light up the scoreboard. As for Truman, they will face off against Chrisman.
