After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Community School of Davidson, The Christ the King Crusaders were happy to have found some success on Friday. They came out on top against Bishop McGuinness by a score of 31-22. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Christ the King's zero-point performance the contest before.
Jack Yenichek went supernova for Christ the King, rushing for 170 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.1 yards per carry. JP Zimmerman was another key contributor, gaining 192 total yards.
When it comes to explaining why Bishop McGuinness lost, one person who can't be blamed is Alex Waterfield. Despite the final result, he threw for 261 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 98 yards and a touchdown.
