Emily McFadden made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk). McFadden was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ali Solomon, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Esther Augustine was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
