Baseball Recap: South Fort Myers Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for South Fort Myers's offense. They lost 6-0 to the Canterbury Cougars on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Wolfpack in their meetings with the Cougars: they've now lost three in a row.

South Fort Myers' loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Canterbury, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Fort Myers will venture away from home to square off against Cape Coral at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cape Coral is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season. As for Canterbury, they will head out on the road to challenge Community School of Naples at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Canterbury's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Community School of Naples' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
