Meanwhile, after soaring to 36 points the game before, Lockwood were a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. Their rough 29-8 defeat to Billings Central Catholic might stick with them for a while. Lockwood was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 29-0.
Noah Conklin put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for 96 yards and a touchdown. Conklin is on a roll when it comes to solo tackles, as he's now made six or more in the last three games he's played.
Laurel's victory lifted them to 6-3 while Lockwood's defeat dropped them down to 5-4.
