West Anchorage has enjoyed the comforts of home their last four games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against The South Anchorage Wolverines at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in West Anchorage's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last six contests.
Last Friday, West Anchorage faced Service in a battle between two of the state's top teams. West Anchorage blew past Service 51-0 at home. The result was nothing new for West Anchorage, who have now won seven matches by 21 points or more so far this season.
Meanwhile, South Anchorage had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They managed a 26-20 win over Bartlett.
Their wins bumped West Anchorage to 9-2 and South Anchorage to 5-5.
Everything came up roses for West Anchorage against South Anchorage when the teams last played back in August as the team secured a 42-14 win. Will West Anchorage repeat their success, or does South Anchorage have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
