There were no changes in the top eight spots this week as the victories continued, a highlight coming from Loomis, where Del Oro topped state-ranked Vista Murieta 22-15. The Holy Bowl between ranked rivals St. Mary's (Stockton) and Central Catholic (Modesto) again went to the wire.
Two new teams join the rankings in Modesto and Sierra (Manteca). No. 5 Granite Bay hosts No. 8 Vacaville and No. 6 Rocklin entertains No. 9 Sacramento. Several teams have byes this week with league openers looming.
