With a playoff game on the line, Piedmont Academy rose to the challenge on Friday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 38-0 victory over Trinity Christian. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Piedmont Academy's zero-point performance the contest before.
Mason Tumlin had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 194 yards and two touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Hunter Cleveland, who threw for 165 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 passes.
Meanwhile, Edmund Burke Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak two weeks ago. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 44-22 walloping at the hands of Briarwood Academy.
Piedmont Academy's win bumped their season record to 3-8 while Edmund Burke Academy's loss dropped theirs to 9-1.
