Rancho Buena Vista found their leader in underclassman Cj Aldrich, who scored 34 points along with six assists and six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Aldrich has scored all season. Shay Todd was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Canyon Crest Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jacques Godard. Despite the final result, he scored 27 points along with eight rebounds. Godard is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last four games he's played.
Rancho Buena Vista is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. As for Canyon Crest Academy, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season.
