The Daingerfield Tigers will be home for the holidays to greet the Rivercrest Rebels at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Daingerfield is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home.
Last Tuesday, Daingerfield was the victim of a tough 40-16 defeat at the hands of Harts Bluff.
Meanwhile, Rivercrest suffered a tough 57-34 loss at the hands of Sulphur Springs on Friday. Rivercrest was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-13.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Anna Duvall, who scored seven points. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played. Alexis Case was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Daingerfield's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Rivercrest, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost 12 of their last 15 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.
Daingerfield took a serious blow against Rivercrest in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, falling 47-9. The match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Daingerfield was down 31-5.
