Even though the Leonard Lancers scored an imposing 62 points on Wednesday, the Forest Hill Falcons still came out on top. Forest Hill snuck past Leonard with a 68-62 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Forest Hill also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Leading Forest Hill to victory were Tyler Dimaggio-Sydnor and Da'Quan Anderson. Dimaggio-Sydnor scored seven points along with seven assists and seven steals, while Anderson scored 19 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. Dimaggio-Sydnor is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Cameran Phillips was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Despite the loss, Leonard still got an impressive performance from Breche Eriscar, who scored 17 points. That's the first time this season that Eriscar scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Reggie Presendieu, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds.
Forest Hill's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-9. As for Leonard, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Forest Hill's road trip will continue as they head out to face Palm Beach Gardens at 7:30 p.m. on January 12th. Palm Beach Gardens has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 194 points over their last three matches. Leonard won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Dr. Joaquin Garcia at 7:30 p.m. on January 11th. Dr. Joaquin Garcia will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
