West Lincoln waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Bessemer City Yellow Jackets as they made off with a 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Rebels also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2021.

West Lincoln's got stronger as the match went on, holding Bessemer City to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-18, 25-11.

Quinlyn Avery paced West Lincoln's offense, picking up nine kills. Avery got some help from Gabrielle Wright and her 14 assists. Ava Rhyne controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

West Lincoln's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Bessemer City, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. West Lincoln is set to square off against their familiar foe Stuart W. Cramer at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Bessemer City will challenge rival Highland Tech at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
