It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Liberty Christian Warriors had no problem doing just that on Friday. They breezed by Bishop Dunne at home to the tune of 49-0. The victory was just business as usual for Liberty Christian, who after 11 games remain undefeated this season.
Chase Garnett was the offensive standout of the match as he rushed for 124 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries. Garnett was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 51 yards.
Liberty Christian's victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-0. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 38.42 points. As for Bishop Dunne, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
Liberty Christian will face off against Grace Community at TBD on Saturday. Grace Community will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 251st, while Liberty Christian is ranked 25th). Bishop Dunne does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
