The Platte Valley Broncos will head out to face off against the Dawson School Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Hazen Weber was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. Weber was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season.

Meanwhile, Dawson School came tearing into Thursday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on Denver Academy with a sharp 21-1 win. Considering Dawson School has won four games by more than ten runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Like Platte Valley, Dawson School also got a great game from a two-way player: Dawson Kusel. He tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Kusel was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. He has become a key player for Dawson School: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 2-6 otherwise.

Graham Bernstein was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Dawson School kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.2 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 11.6.
Dawson School now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Platte Valley, their record is now 11-6.
