AISA A Region 2 recap Sept. 26, 2012
Pickens Academy extended the longest winning streak in AISA A Region 2 this week by beating Eastwood Christian, 54-6. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Pickens Academy took down Eastwood Christian 54-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Jackson Academy's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Eagles feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. John Earl Kelly has thrown for 163 yards and four touchdowns this season, while Michael Christianson has four catches for 94 yards. Taylor Carpenter leads the league in rushing with 167 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Jackson Academy takes on John Gartman's team. As it stands, the Eagles are in third, while the Pirates are in first.
Jackson Academy and Meadowview Christian played the most hotly contested game in AISA A Region 2 this week, with Jackson Academy eventually emerging with a 14-12 victory.
