The Fort Frye Cadets will head out to  challenge the River Pilots  at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday. Fort Frye is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3  runs per game  this season.
Fort Frye came out on top against Point Pleasant  on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run third inning. The Cadets skirted past the Big Blacks  4-2.

 At the plate,  Jaden Cox was  excellent,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with one  double and one  RBI. Those  three  hits gave  her a new career-high.  Emmie Duskey also deserves some recognition as  she  hit her first  double of the season.
 Bridgeport hit River with a seven-run fourth inning  on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Pilots came up short against  the Bulldogs, falling  11-1. The Pilots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 River's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Fort Frye, they now  have a winning record of 6-5.
 Everything went Fort Frye's way against River in their previous matchup  last Tuesday, as Fort Frye made off with  a  12-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cadets since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
