Despite the loss, Basha saw an underclassman step up: Grace Beckler dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. Beckler is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last six games she's played. Meanwhile, Chandler scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 69-32 win over Corona del Sol at home. That 37 points margin sets a new team best for Chandler this season.
Chandler's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Karis Hurd, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Averi Mehlberg was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five steals.
Basha has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-11 record this season. As for Chandler, their victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-9.
Basha lost to Chandler at home by a decisive 65-50 margin when the teams last played back in November of 2023.
