Cypress Lakes posted their biggest victory since December 6, 2024 on Friday. Everything went their way against the Waller Bulldogs as the Cypress Lakes Spartans made off with a 58-38 win. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 395th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 1174th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory made it two in a row for Cypress Lakes and bumps their season record up to 14-12. As for Waller, they dropped their record down to 3-25 with the defeat, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season.

When Cypress Lakes and Waller next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Cypress Lakes will take on Cypress Woods and their four-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Similarly, Waller will try to stop Cypress Ranch's five-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
