Baseball Game Preview: Buena Vista Bison vs. Omaha Northwest Huskies

The Buena Vista Bison will take on the Omaha Northwest Huskies at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Buena Vista is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

Anderson Craig made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Julian Ramiez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Omaha Northwest's offense. They came up short against Papillion-LaVista South on Tuesday, falling 16-0. The Huskies haven't had much luck with the Titans recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Omaha Northwest also got a good showing from Collin Johnston, who tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

Buena Vista's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Omaha Northwest, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Buena Vista suffered a grim 17-7 defeat to Omaha Northwest in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can Buena Vista avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
