Basketball Game Preview: The Academy Wildcats vs. Prospect Ridge Academy Miners

On Wednesday, The Academy ended up a good deal behind Colorado Academy and lost 64-50. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now lost six in a row.

Despite the loss, The Academy got top-tier performance from CJ Hernandez, who went 6 of 15 on his way to 17 points along with six steals and five boards. Hernandez has been hot recently, having posted four or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Aguirre, who posted eight points.

Meanwhile, Prospect Ridge Academy was fully in charge on Tuesday, breezing past Village 76-35. The Miners have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 22 points or more this season.

The Academy better keep an eye on Travis Agbosse. He was instrumental in Prospect Ridge Academy's win, going 7 for 10 en route to 18 points in addition to seven rebounds and five assists. Another player making a difference was Jackson Brandt, who scored ten points along with five boards and four steals.
