Bristol Eastern won the last time they faced Simsbury and things went their way on Monday too. The Lancers walked away with a 14-9 victory over the Trojans. Winning may never get old, but the Lancers sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Hailey Beebe made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up five earned (and four unearned) runs off nine hits. Beebe was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Gracie Brown was incredible, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Emily Valentine was another key player, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.
Bristol Eastern's record now sits at 13-5. As for Simsbury, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-3-1.
