The Florence Gophers are taking a road trip to square off against the Seton Catholic Sentinels at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Florence not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since February 26th. They never let San Tan Foothills get on the board and left with a 14-0 victory. The Gophers haven't had any issues with the Sabercats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.
Jagger Navarro made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Tanner Gammons was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-3. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Cameron Lorefice also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Florence kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as San Tan Foothills only managed one hit.
Meanwhile, Seton Catholic made easy work of Coolidge on Thursday and carried off a 12-3 victory. Considering the Sentinels have won seven games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Max Peterson tossed a big game, striking out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Seton Catholic got a massive performance out of Josh Brown, who scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Jason Ruiz, who scored two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
Seton Catholic's win was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-7. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Florence, their record now sits at 10-5.
Florence came up short against Seton Catholic in their previous meeting back in March, falling 3-0. Can the Gophers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
