The MCC Crescents can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Wednesday. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 72-35 win over Universal. The victory was nothing new for MCC as they're now sitting on three straight.
MCC's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ammar Ibrahim, who scored 20 points along with eight assists and two steals. That's the first time this season that Ibrahim posted eight or more assists. Eman Hodzic was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 12 rebounds.
MCC's victory was their tenth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-6. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 44.6 points. As for Universal, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. MCC on the road again on Friday and play against College Prep of America at 6:30 p.m. on January 26th. Hopefully College Prep of America focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Wednesday. As for Universal, they will head out on the road to face off against Unity Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Unity Christian Academy's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven matchups.
