This season hasn't been kind to the Front Range Christian Falcons, who are still winless after their eighth game. They were dealt a 78-28 loss at the hands of Heritage Christian on Thursday. Front Range Christian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-8.
Front Range Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ethan Martin, who scored four points. Luke Ford was another key contributor, scoring four points.
Raul Bertinato was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 29 points and 11 steals for Heritage Christian. Bertinato hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. Another player making a difference was Nolan Buehrlen, who scored 20 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Front Range Christian's loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Heritage Christian, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 8-1.
Front Range Christian will head out on the road to square off against Union Colony Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Allowing an average of 50.6 points per game, Union Colony Prep has struggled on the defensive end, but that doesn't have to be the case in this game. As for Heritage Christian, they will be playing at home against Wiggins at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Wiggins focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Friday.
