Basketball Recap: West Port Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

If The Rock wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played West Port, they should've done a better job of containing Aaliyah Grant. The West Port Wolf Pack came out on top against The Rock Lions by a score of 48-38 on Tuesday thanks in part to Grant, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 15 rebounds. She has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last 12 times she's played.

Ruby Patterson and Audrey Hubbard certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Patterson posted 17 points, while Hubbard earned 12 points and three blocks. That was a full 44.7% of The Rock's points, marking the third time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points.

West Port has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points per game. As for The Rock, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Port will take on North Marion at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for The Rock, they will face off against North Florida Educational Institute at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
