The Brownfield Cubs will be home for the holidays to greet the Littlefield Wildcats at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Brownfield has not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They came out on top against Snyder by a score of 38-31 on Friday.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Littlefield beat Denver City 47-41 on Tuesday. The win was just what Littlefield needed coming off of a 57-28 defeat in their prior contest.
Brownfield's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-11. As for Littlefield, their win bumped their record up to 9-5.
Brownfield couldn't quite finish off Littlefield when the teams last played back in February and fell 34-31. Can Brownfield avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
