Even though the Craig Panthers have not done well against the Haines Glacier Bears recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Craig slipped by Haines 54-53. The win made it back-to-back wins for Craig.
Craig's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bryant Holloway, who scored 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Bazinet, who scored 16 points.
Craig's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 2-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.8 points per game. As for Haines, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Coincidentally, Craig and Haines will both be playing Metlakatla the next time they take the court. Haines will host Metlakatla on Friday, while Craig will host them on February 2nd.
