 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Northwest  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  struck out at most three  strikeouts in six consecutive  games.
 Northwest pushed their record up to 16-1 with that  victory, which was their 14th straight  at home dating back to last season. As for Cozad, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost eight of their last ten matchups,  which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record  this season.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northwest will face off against York at 7:00  p.m.  on Monday. As for Cozad, they will head out to  square off against Chase County  on Tuesday.
